This is the Valentine's Day movie you should be watching. The Cinefamily told me to put the skulls in a circle & check this out. And for all you men out there, you came into this world through a woman and some of us will leave this place by a woman's hand. Be careful who you love...

I don't recall exactly how I was introduced to the books of Robert Beck, but I do remember that I was in high school. Bored to death in the suburbs and somewhere between reading Jack Kerouac's On The Road and Nelson Algren's Neon Wilderness, I found out about Pimp. His narrative didn't ask, but told this white boy to pay attention as he dolled out stories of the streets which I had never been exposed to in my life. I was as hooked as a teenage junkie hooker.
This documentary looks to spread the news about Iceberg Slim to the masses and this is a good thing. This movie is showing at the ever awesome Cinefamily in Los Angeles tomorrow. For extra credit, I highly recommend you getting your hands on the classic documentary American Pimp either before or after you see this.
God or the Universe has bestowed this upon us. I have not seen it yet, but will this week as it rolls into the Cinefamily.
Update: Best thing you could see in a long time. Go see this film. Your little mind will be blown open.
This Dutch Danish television series was turned into a movie and it makes Curb Your Enthusiasm look about as edgy as Three's Company. A few fairly non-spoilers highlights: mocking a child's tiny penis, man flirting, tour de pussy, underage kidnapping & getting high as fuck just once a year on strong weed (don't vomit). If you are still not phased, the television show has attracted the perverted likes of Lars von Trier who has written one of the episodes. That should put things in perspective.
So to surmise, if what you have read doesn't tempt you to see this movie, you are probably a well mannered, normal person. Please hug your mom & dad and thank them. However, K. Dawg Noftle and I saw Klown at the Cinefamily and we loved the shit out of it. But next time, we both are getting fucking cupcakes!
Update: Thanks to one of my readers for pointing out that Klown was on Danish, not Dutch television. My mind gravitates to Amsterdam. For the tulips of course!
